What is 2T17?

2T17 is short for the Bible verse 2 Timothy 1:7. In the NKJV of this verse, it states "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." In this verse, "fear" can also be translated into cowardice, and "sound mind" can be translated into self-control. When looking at it this way, we are called to be courageous and disciplined. Christianity is not a destination, it is a journey, and along that journey there are battles that need to be fought, and set backs that need to be experienced. Some battles will be easier than others, and some will leave scars. Whether these scars are physical, emotional or spiritual, you will be tested just like Jesus and his disciples were tested. However, it is through these scars of life that our greatest lessons are learned, and we get the opportunity to see what we are made of through the struggle.

Your struggle could be any number of things. You could have a financial issue, drug addiction, drinking problems, sexual promiscuity, envy, greed, PTSD, anger, a victim of abuse, etc. There are many many more that could be listed, but whatever your dealing with, does not disqualify you for Love....Gods Love.

Your walk with God will take time, and it will be a never ending learning experience, and you may wonder if you or your efforts even matter....They Do!

Take it from the Owner of 2T17....He dealt with many of these issues: criminal record, drinking issues, drug use, failed marriage, lustful tenancies , college drop out, no self-worth, etc.........After ten years of searching, and making a couple positive changes in life, God finally bopped him on his head and gave him his wake up call.

The logo of 2T17 shows missing pieces and bullet holes, because it is sometimes the broken heart that can love the most. It is sometimes the disciplined individual that learned through an undisciplined life.....And it is sometimes the fearful that become the hero. Wear the battle scars of your life proudly. Be open, be vulnerable, be courageous, and be more than you can see, because God has your back, and he sees a great Kingdom in your future.
